The first set of Community Health Volunteers has received their basic training in palliative care, kicking off our project funded with UK aid from the UK government to train 225 community health volunteers across three counties in Kenya. This group of 20 volunteers was trained at Uhembo, Siaya County in March, and are now equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to provide palliative care in their rural communities and raise awareness of cancer.
