Join us and friends of HCK, Nancy and Mike, for another Poetry Above the Crypt. Taking place on Saturday 11th November at 7 pm at St Mary Islington, Upper Street, N1 2TX, the event will once again support Hospice Care Kenya.

The event will host the London launch of a stimulating new anthology of poems, Contraflow: Lines of Englishness 1922-2022. Edited by John Greening and Kevin Gardner, with a foreword by Ian McMillan, it’s a handsome book published by Renard Press in Islington.

The readers will be Moniza Alvi, David Clarke, Julia Copus (reading Mew), Peter Daniels, Rishi Dastidar, Steve Ely, Stuart Henson, Holly Hopkins, Mimi Khalvati, Gregory Leadbetter, Katrina Naomi, Ruth Padel, John Siddique, Rob Selby, Elisabeth Sennitt Clough, George Szirtes, Rory Waterman, plus editors, Kevin Gardner and John Greening.

Entry and refreshments are free but donations to Hospice Care Kenya would be very welcome. Please join us if you can, it promises to be a splendid evening!
