We have supported another four grant applications with a total of £13,000. We have funded sponsorship for the latest intake of students on the Diploma in Palliative Care run by the Kenya Medical Training College, development of day care and home visiting at Laikipia Palliative Care Centre, update training of health workers and community volunteers at Malindi Palliative Care Centre and further training of community health volunteers at Siaya Roselyn Hospice.
Hard decisions had to be made as we had 12 grant applications asking in total for £63,800. Demand for our support is high as you can see and inevitably we have to dis-appoint some applicants because we don’t have enough money to support everyone.
