Our supporters, trustees and patrons raise funds for the hospices in Kenya through HCK in a variety of ways from running poetry events to sponsored events such as climbing Mount Kenya. All of these efforts are greatly appreciated by the hospices in Kenya. But you don’t have to climb a mountain, produce a film or run a marathon in order to make an impact! Every contribution helps. Even a very small amount can pay for a week’s supply of morphine to relieve a patient’s pain, an item of medical equipment, or help contribute to the costs palliative care.
Part of the money HCK raises already comes from ‘community events’, including coffee mornings (such as the one on the right), church events and collections, marmalade sales, concerts, walks, talks, poetry readings.. We greatly appreciate all that is done for us already and would like to increase the number of these events in order to raise even more for the hospices.
If you think you could help, by organising an event or raising funds in another way, please get in touch with our office In Bristol (click on our ‘contact’ page for details). HCK would be happy to support you by setting up a JustGiving page or advising you how to set one up; supplying fliers, Gift Aid envelopes or other necessities, or helping you to organise and advertise larger occasions. All events organised for HCK can also be publicised on this website and through social media sites including Facebook and Twitter. Please contact us!
